I hope to make passthrough stereo work correctly so in order to upmix it via my Storm I dont have to set windows to stereo each time. (I still need to set windows to stereo to upmix old games but still). I was hoping with passthrough I could leave windows set to 5.1 so when I play games I don't have to manually switch it so much.

I don't understand what I am doing wrong regarding stereo setup/switching. When switched to Stereo it used all speakers instead of just FL/FR as it should of. Tested with a movie with a surround track then switched it to its stereo track. This odd all speaker use also occurs when I switch an audio format mid playthrough.

BUT When I play a stereo only show (track on show is Stereo AAC 48khz), Storm shows PCM 5.1 (as it should, windows is set to that) BUT it plays audio through ALL speakers - despite having no upmixing on on the Storm or MPC (that I know of).

Storm shows Atmos/DTS/DD when applicable to source. When I play a movie/show that has a surround mix, it passthrough correctly. Why is this.? On older Win10 build with idk what version of MPC-HC+idk what version of madVR, I never had this issue. (if I do not have it open, majority of time I get a black picture (in the player - not a black screen on windows itself) but audio is fine and plays.

I NEED to have MPC-BE open BEFORE opening an HDR file AND MPC-BE set to auto full screen when a file starts in order to make the picture actually appear. 3080ti has 1 HDMI to TV (LG C9) and 1 to ISP Elite. To preface: Windows 11PC, 3080ti, 7900x cpu, ISP Elite stormaudio mk1.5 audio processor. To preface, I did look through wiki and is how I found out how to passthrough audio in the first place and config MPC Video renderer as well. I'm having some minor issues I'm about to pull my hair out on.
